'Roots' because all artist invited are international, each having different roots/culture/background. march 2009-2010 < back		Statement for Subterranean series for squareroots A continuation of oil paintings done on canvas in 2008 this is a more introspective series, which remind me of enclosed subterranean surfaces. Some floating, some sinking from its surroundings, brooding yet evanescent based on the colours and contrasts. The works done for square roots are a build-up of layers of acrylic paint on primed paper. Please view my 5 works on paper at the instinc website.
